How much can I expect to pay for treatment?
Our first visit at Stillpoint Acupuncture is $150, which takes about 90 minutes and includes a full health history, acupuncture treatment and lifestyle recommendations. During that treatment, your practitioner will discuss what kinds of treatments are recommended based on your individual case. At that visit, you’ll have an opportunity to talk about your goals for treatment as well as any constraints you may have including time or financial considerations. Follow up visits are generally one hour in length and cost $100.
Most people find that an initial course of treatment including 4-10 acupuncture visits is a good way to make progress with your health concerns. If you are coming for an acute pain, like sprained ankle or sudden back pain, you may only need 1-3 visits. If you have chronic health issues, your practitioner may recommend a course of treatment closer to 3-6 months. Once people are feeling better, they often come back 3-4 times per year for a “tune-up.”
If you have significant internal medicine concerns, such as poor digestion, your practitioner may encourage you to try herbal therapy. These costs and options will also be discussed.
In summary, each person is different in terms of how much acupuncture or other therapies may be required to achieve your goals. Feel free to ask your practitioner for good faith estimate of expenditures at your first visit, and you are also welcome to revisit this plan any time you have concerns.
